Automotive Industry

Alphatek has a long, successful history in delivering metal spraying solutions in the Automotive Industry. Bentley, Aston Martin, Bugatti are just a few of the most prominent vehicle manufacturers for which we have offered solutions.

When it comes to the automotive industry, our applications focus on interior details and exterior panels and provide Turbocharger and EGR Valve coatings.

Turbocharger Coatings

Turbochargers are frequently used to boost the power output of all types of vehicle engines. Naturally, lowering mechanical friction and applying coatings that ensure optimal efficiency can both significantly increase the turbocharger’s efficiency.

We have a wealth of expertise of working with gas turbines in the oil and gas sector so many of the solutions created are also suitable for use in automobile applications.

EGR Valve Coatings

Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valves are crucial parts of contemporary exhaust systems. They effectively recirculate some exhaust gas back into the combustion chamber while lowering the temperature.

The life and performance of EGR valves can be significantly increased by using specialised thermal spray coatings. Specialised spray coatings which will also work to increase engine efficiency overall and shorten the mean time between failure.

Print & Paper

In the Print and Paper industry, Alphatek has a successful record of offering highly effective metal spraying solutions that save costs and increased productivity. Our in-house developed HVOF and Fluoropolymer coatings offer the best defence against many issues. Issues such as corrosion, abrasion, wear, and demanding circumstances.

Roll Refurbishment

Process rolls for the paper, printing, and steel industries can be repaired on-site or in a facility specifically designed for the purpose by Alphatek.

Anilox Rolls

Anilox rolls are coated with a ceramic Ni-based sublayer and a Cr Oxide-based top coating during the Thermal Plasma (APS) Spray Process.

The rolls are then diamond honed and laser engraved to create a surface profile that will provide a controlled amount of ink to the papers being printed.

Bearings & Seats

The bearings of rubber-coated rollers in the printing sector can become damaged and clogged by various debris and ink deposits due to the hostile environment they work in. This results in wear and damage to the bearing as well as the bearing seats.

Thermally sprayed coatings can significantly prolong life and restore functioning to the harmed bearings and bearing seats.

Glass Manufacturing

In order to meet the demands of the glass manufacturing industry, Alphatek offers a variety of surface engineering coatings – Flame Spraying and HVOF. Production facilities for bottles and glass containers work in extremely hot, corrosive, wear-and-tear environments.

For the highest level of protection even in these demanding conditions, we created our own HVOF and Fluoropolymer coatings (HYPERGLAZE).

Glass Bottle Moulds

Extreme heat, wear, and corrosion are present when operating glass bottle and glass container moulds.

With a variety of Flame Spraying and HVOF coatings, Alphatek can increase the lifespan of a component while reducing oxidation and wear.

Glass Chutes

Glass chutes can be shielded by thermal spray coatings from abrasion and the high temperatures that are typical of the glass manufacturing process.

Our HYPERGLAZE coatings, which we invented for you, have some quintessential advantages when it comes to reducing wear, increasing component life, and decreasing downtime.

Rail Coating

Our tried-and-true rail coatings provide wonderful advantages:
